Vertex Tech Ltd is a Dubai-based technology startup on a mission to close the financial literacy gap across the MENA region, starting with the UAE. Founded in 2025, the company builds culturally relevant, gamified learning experiences to empower the next generation with essential money skills. Its flagship initiative is Fundamental Finance, a free financial literacy platform designed specifically for Gen Z and young adults in the UAE. Under this umbrella, Vertex Tech Ltd will launch FunFi, a mobile-first app that combines bite-sized lessons, quizzes, and region-specific financial tools with rewards-based gamification. From understanding Zakat and VAT to budgeting, investing, and Islamic finance, FunFi localizes financial education for a diverse and digitally native audience. Being built by a team of world-class developers in Miami, Florida and supported by local research, FunFi integrates financial calculators, an AI chatbot centered around our mascot Toro, and onboarding paths tailored to each user’s financial goals. The app is free to use, with monetization via product placements. Vertex Tech Ltd is positioning itself as the region’s financial education infrastructure layer, one that schools don’t provide and fintechs increasingly rely on for user acquisition and retention. The company plans to expand across the GCC in future phases, eventually offering enterprise APIs, embedded microcredentials, and deeper insights into Gen Z financial behavior.
